Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan and the Garda Commissioner have signed off on a new CCTV plan for Carrickmacross.
The systems are designed to deter anti-social behaviour, prevent crime, and aid An Garda Síochána by providing surveillance footage.
Minister Niamh Smyth welcomed the development and thanked Minister O'Callaghan for his assistance on this matter.
She also praised local councillor PJ O'Hanlon for his ongoing campaigning on this issue.
