A managing director of a local travel agent says direct flights from Dublin to Nashville in Tennessee is proving extremely popular with people from across Monaghan.
The new route, which is operated by Aer Lingus has four weekly flights on the airline's new Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
The new flight begins from tomorrow offering people from across the country direct access to the 'Music City' of the United States. Mark Clifford, of O'Hanrahan Travel in Monaghan, says direct access into one of the most exciting and culturally rich cities in the US is a game changer for country music fans.
He said while Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands are the most popular locations, holiday makers are becoming more diverse in their decisions, adding that there is much more of a variety on offer. Mark said with Monaghan being the capital of country music, Nashville is proving a very popular destination.
