This week marked the official handover of a brand new, state-of-the-art Emergency Tender to Monaghan Fire Service.
It is purpose-built for a range of emergency scenarios, including: Road traffic collisions, Hazardous materials incidents, Technical rescues and Flood response situations
Designed in partnership with junior officers, the body is made from durable co-polymer materials and includes innovative features like variable Mounted Signage (VMS) for clear public and inter-agency communication, active air purification for better in-cab air quality, high-visibility reflective markings for safer night operations, extra repeater lights to help navigate urban traffic.
The vehicle is also HVO compatible and powered by a low-emission EURO VI engine, supporting a cleaner, greener future.
The local fire service says this is a big step forward for fire service capability in Monaghan, ensuring crews are equipped to respond quickly, safely, and effectively.
