Building works have commenced on a multi million euro project at Knockconan in Truagh on the new Blackwater Valley Rural Enterprise and Digital Hub. By partnering with Monaghan County Council, Truagh Development Association CLG secured €3.3m through the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.
The construction of this facility will bring to fruition, years of hard work and commitment to the delivery of this project by Truagh Development Association CLG. The project is due to be completed by Q3 of 2026.
Cllr Bronagh McAree welcomed the news. Speaking to Northern Sound Cllr, McAree said this facility has been a key target of the community over the years; "Members of the MD were absolutely delighted to be invested in this project. This will allow for the expansion of social and community services and will allow for the development of new enterprises and commercial opportunities within the area."
