The updated layout for the N2 Clontibret to the border scheme has been published.
Following this Monaghan County Council's roads section will be holding a series of community meetings to share the updated designs.
These meetings will take place in Clontibret, Tyholland and Emyvale.
Cllr Niamh McCooey said these meetings are off the back of community and landowner engagements where concerns of the community were listened to.
As a result of those engagements, Cllr McCooey says "major changes" have been made especially in relation to Clontibret were concerns were raised that the road was severing the community in two.
Concerns were also raised by residents in Emyvale at the Island Road.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr McCooey believes communities will be happy with the changes made.
She believes this road or any major project needs the involvement of the whole community:
