Locals are being called on to bring the story of Lough Sheelin and its legends to life.
A community meeting will be held in the Ballyjamesduff Museum this Thursday from 7pm until 8.30pm.
This latest initiative follows on from local artist Kim Gaffney's quest to reawaken the local legend of Orwin and Sebana through her very own artwork.
Kim launched an art book based on the tragic love story which is based on the local lake.
Following on from the success of the book, Kim wanted to do something within the community to bring the project further along and include as many people as possible.
As a result of this project, Kim says between June and September next year there will be a room in the Cavan County museum which will be totally based on the legend and Lough Sheelin. Local are advised to share your stories, help plan this creative project and bring any documents, maps, artifacts or historical information about Lough Sheelin.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the Mountnugent artist said it's important for people to get involved and play their part in this project:
