Nineteen children, who came to Ireland seeking international protection, have gone missing from State care so far this year.
Appearing before the Justice Committee, Tusla revealed sixty-nine separated children had been reported missing to date in 2025.
However, forty-eight have been accounted for and two have turned eighteen.
Sinn Fein's Justice spokesperson Matt Carthy questioned Lorna Kavanagh, who is an Area Manager with Tusla's National office.
