More than half a million euro worth of cannabis has been seized in County Cavan.
As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Cavan/Monaghan area, Gardaí attached to the Monaghan Divisional Drug Unit searched a house in Belturbet.
Gardaí discovered what they're calling a "sophisticated growhouse" at the local property. Gardaí recovered 111 sapling cannabis plants and more than 25kg of cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of more than €500,000.

The drugs have been sent for analysis. No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
