Firefighters brought the blaze under control by midnight, and no injuries have been reported.

No injuries have been reported after a massive fire in Carrick-on-Shannon, which has since been extinguished.

The blaze was reported by a passer-by at the boardwalk jetty, opposite the Landmark Hotel, at around 9.15pm lastnight, with two boats on fire.

It's believed the blaze started on one boat and then spread to the other one.
