A local councillor has raised the issue surrounding an update on the temporary traffic light system that's in operation on the Carrickmacross-Kingscourt road.
Cllr Colm Carthy also asked about when the remedial works will be carried out on the road subsidence issue at that location.
Cllr Carthy raised the long running issue at the most recent sitting of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney Municipal District. The local authority are hopeful that they will be able to move to road repair works as soon as possible. However, there will be a lot of work needed to bring this road back to a safe standard.

Cllr Carthy says he has been told that this is a significant project and it won’t be a quick fix.
