The official opening of the new Ballybay Fire Station will take place later today.
This modern facility represents a major investment in emergency response capability and firefighter welfare.
Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne will officially open the new station at 10.30 this morning.
The station features an appliance bay capable of housing two fire service vehicles, a dedicated station office and watch room, a breathing apparatus maintenance room, PPE cleaning room, compressor room, kitchen facilities, lecture and training room, and extensive storage areas.
Fully equipped shower and toilet facilities further support operational readiness and personnel wellbeing.
Externally, the development includes a dedicated drill yard complete with a drill tower, as well as car parking facilities.
The event will provide an opportunity for invited guests and community to view the new station and see first-hand how the enhanced infrastructure will strengthen emergency response across Ballybay and the surrounding areas.
