Over 1,300 uninsured vehicles across the Northern Sound region have been seized by Gardaí since last year.
The data was provided by the Minister for Justice in response to a parliamentary question.
The figures released by the minister reveal the number of vehicles seized by gardaí for having no insurance in each Garda division.
The compiled data is based on incidents occurring from the 1st of January 2024 to 31st March 2025, inclusive.
In the Louth/Cavan/Monaghan division, 1,121 uninsured vehicles were seized by Gardaí in 2024.
While during quarter 1 of 2025, 255 vehicles were seized.
In total, Gardaí seized 1,376 vehicles with no insurance across the region since January last year.
Nationally, Garda authorities caught 18,834 vehicles for having no insurance in 2024, and 4,758 in quarter 1 of 2025.
