Figures from the HSE show 2,926 children in the HSE Dublin North East region are waiting for first contact from a Child Disability Network Team (CDNT).
This area covers North Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and most areas of Cavan.
2,054 of them are waiting over 12 months.
Nationally. 10,961 children are waiting for first contact from a Child Disability Network Team (CDNT) as of the end of June.
The figures show this local area is the regional healthcare area with the most children waiting for first contact from a CDNT.
169 children were referred to a CDNT in June in the HSE Dublin North East region.
61% of all the children waiting on the list have an individual support plan in place.
The report has been issued under the roadmap for service improvement 2023-2026.
