Over 720 people were convicted for serious driving offences across the region in 2024.
Figures in yesterday's Irish Independent broke down the number of convictions for driving without insurance, dangerous and careless driving, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In the Monaghan area, 307 motorists were convicted for the offence, down 3.5% since 2023.
While 418 drivers were convicted in Cavan in 2024, down 2.1% compared to the previous year.
It comes as over 440 people were caught speeding over the bank holiday weekend.
