Garda speed vans across the region have collected over €1 million from offending motorists since 2023.
The data reveals over €32 million has been generated nationwide in 30 months.
MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú received the statistics from Gardaí, who provided a break-down of the money generated from speeding fines per Garda district since 2023.
So far this year, €78,160 was collected from speeding motorists in Co. Monaghan, and €81,680 in Co. Cavan.
While the most money generated was in 2023, with over €780,000 collected across the two counties that year.
In total, €1,188,000 in revenue was collected by Garda speed vans in the Northern Sound region since 2023.
Nationally, the figure was highest in Dublin, where over €6.2 million in revenue was generated from speeding offences in 30 months.
While Cavan and Monaghan are on the top 10 list of most money collected by Gardaí since 2023.
