Over €45,000 in funding has been earmarked for two heritage restoration projects in Co. Monaghan.
Monaghan County Council secured the funding under the government's Community Monuments Fund for 2025.
Over €15,000 has been allocated for essential work at Killeevan Abbey, while €30,000 will go towards enhancement works at St. Patrick's Holy Well in Clonfad.
The application for both projects had been submitted by Killeevan Heritage Group and aims to preserve their longevity for years to come.
