€5,000 has been raised for Monaghan Hospital at Clones Mart last week.
A calved dairy heifer made €3,380 for the Rehabilitation Unit in Monaghan Hospital which was kindly donated by the Treanor Family.
Tom Treanor said he wanted to raise the funds for the local health service that saved his life.
The proceeds of the sale will go to the service that helps so many local people. Tom says he seen first-hand over a 6 month period what the people that work in our health service do each and every day.
The heifer was bought on the day by Aileen and Sean McGahan. There was also a bucket collection which brought the total figure to around €5,000.
