Permission has been granted for the development of a home improvement and tradesperson store in Monaghan town.
The works will see a change of use to unit six of Monaghan Retail Park, with Screwfix being the intended end operator.
The planning application says the development will "generate both full-time and part-time employment".

Internal works will include the creation of warehouse space for storing goods and trade counter areas, as well as staff facilities.
The store will be open seven days a week, with early opening and late closing, to allow it to more fully serve tradespeople, who will be the predominate clientele.
