Boylesports have been given the go-ahead for a new betting shop along with five apartments in Clones.
The location for the new development is on the former Paragon Bar site in the town.
The former Paragon Bar had been deemed as being a protected structure under the Monaghan County Development Plan 2019-2025.

Despite this the “unauthorised demolition” of the iconic building took place and had added to a lengthy delay in getting the green light for this development.
The plans for the large retail unit along with the five apartments are also being developed together with an amenity space at the rear of the building along the town’s Fermanagh Street.
Monaghan County Council have approved the plans subject to 20 conditions.
