Planning permission has been granted for a new student accommodation development at Ballyhaise Agricultural College.
Teagasc had applied to Cavan County Council for the development at the college in Drumcrow, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan.
The approved development includes the demolition of three existing purpose-built student accommodation blocks.
It also includes the construction of a new two-storey purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) building providing 24 no. ensuite study bedrooms with associated shared communal facilities, ancillary accommodation, together with the part refurbishment of the existing outbuildings (protected structure) to provide communal student facilities.
The development also includes all associated site works and services.
Permission was granted with 17 conditions attached.
