Planning permission has been granted for major developments at a Cavan GAA club.
Gowna GAA Club applied to Cavan County Council for the demolition of the current main pitch stand and the installation of stepped spectator terraced areas.
This would include a fully inclusive and accessible spectator stand along with a sheltered exercise and spectator area to the rear.

A multi-use games area including ball wall, playing surface, and a multi-purpose building including a kitchen and barbecue terrace also make up part of the plans.
Turnstiles, dugouts and a biodiversity area are also included.
Plans for the major development were approved with 14 conditions attached.
