Planning permission has been lodged for a new homeless and emergency accommodation centre in Monaghan.
The application was lodged last week by Ferann River Accommodations on behalf of Monaghan County Council. The new centre would be located in a house at Latlorcan in Monaghan Town on the R937.
Expressions of interest for accommodation providers to provide this service were opened last year. A decision on the application is due at the end of April.
