Planning permission has been lodged to convert an historic building in Castleblayney.
Plans lodged to Monaghan County Council calls for the refurbishment of the former stationmaster's house in Castleblayney, currently in use as apartments. Works include the demolition of a non-original extension to the rear of the property, and a two storey extension will be built in its place. The finished building is due to consist of 6 apartments, comprising four one-bedroom apartments and two two-beds. 12 new parking spaces are also planned.
The former stationmaster's house is a protected structure and was built in the mid 1800's.
