Planning permission to extend the GAA facilities in Clontibret have been refused.
The proposed works were to include the demolition of an existing single-storey machinery store, alterations and extensions of the existing two-storey club house and the construction of a two-storey reception area together with glazed link at first floor level.
The plans that have now been refused also sought the construction of an adjoining two storey building to accommodate changing facilities, toilets, showers, kitchen, multi-purpose room, shop and storage.
County planners turned down the local club over the submitted application.
