Planning permission has been refused for a telecommunications mast in Cavan.
Vantage Towers Limited sought approval for a 24m high lattice telecommunications support structure together with antennas, dishes and associated telecommunications equipment all enclosed in security fencing.
A number of submissions from people in the area of the Ballinagh Rd were submitted with one person saying it would be an eyesore as the site that is was planned on was very exposed with no natural cover.
Cavan County decided to refuse permission for the structure, the refusal letter said it is considered that the proposed development would adversely impact on the visual amenities of this
area, particularly having regard to the micro siting location chosen on the overall site.
