Plans have been approved for a new five-storey apartment block in Cavan Town.
The new development is due to be located on Farnham Street in the county town. Plans submitted by Radar Investments Limited called for the construction of 66 apartments in one building.
The apartments would be made up of 26 one- bed units, 32 two-beds, and 8 three-beds all with balconies or ground floor terraces. These would be all be located within a five storey apartment block.
Also included is the construction of an access road from the Farnham Road along with construction of a bridge to facilitate this.
A play area, communal spaces, public lighting, an ESB Substation, and 49 parking spaces at surface and underground levels as well as EV charging points make up the final part of the application. Cavan County Planners granted the application subject to 39 planning conditions.
