Planning permission is being sought for the erection of a new wind turbine in Co. Monaghan.
The application was submitted by Connolly Meats Ltd.
The submission proposes to develop an 850kW wind turbine at the North area of the existing plant, with a hub height of 65 meters and a blade radius of 26 metres. The application also includes the construction of underground ducting, which will connect the turbine to the existing ESB substation. Monaghan county planners have received the application and is due to be decided upon by October.
