Poll suggests Catherine Connolly set to be next President

Catherine Connolly leads the way in the latest opinion poll of the presidential election campaign.

With just days until polling day, the Business Post/RED C Research Presidential survey found the independent candidate is polling at 44 per cent.

Her opponent Fine Gael's Heather Humphreys stands on 25 per cent while Fianna Fail's Jim Gavin is down on 10 per cent despite pulling out of the contest.
