Sites owned by local authorities in the Northern Sound region have the potential to deliver an additional 145 housing units.
According to the National Social Housing Data Map, there are a total of two sites in Cavan with the potential to deliver 22 units. All 22 of these would be social housing according to the Department of Housing.
Meanwhile in Monaghan, there are four sites in the ownership of Monaghan County Council with the potential to build 123 units. 98 of those could be social housing with the remainder being affordable housing. It's a matter for each local authority to decide when each of these sites would be moved forward for development
