Cllr Pauric Clerkin has welcomed confirmation from Council officials that long-awaited progress is finally underway on the three unfinished houses in Carrickroe village.
Cllr Clerkin confirmed that the three unfinished houses will be completed by December 2025 and allocated to tenants in January 2026.
He emphasised the importance of delivering these homes for local families and addressing housing need in the area.
The Fine Gael representative says these units have been sitting idle for "far too long" and getting them finished and occupied is a priority for the community.
Speaking to Northern Sound, he says he will continue to work with Council officials to ensure there are no further delays.
He added that he remains committed to securing further investment in housing and infrastructure for Carrickroe and surrounding areas.
