A property marking event will take place at Carrickmacross Workhouse on the Shercock Road between the hours of 11am and 2pm.
Anyone who has items of value which they would like to protect against potential burglars can bring them along the event.
Property marking is the process of physically etching a piece of property like a bike or trailer, laptop or tools.
A specially-designed machine embosses the item with a small dots in the pattern of the owner's Eircode.
The idea is that markings will make it harder for criminals to sell on stolen property.
