A property marking event will take place in Inniskeen this Sunday.
Carrickmacross Community Engagemnet Unit will at Magee's shop between the hours of 11am and 1pm.
Anyone who has items of value which they would like to protect against potential burglars can bring them along the event.

Property marking is the process of physically etching a piece of property like a bike or trailer, laptop or tools.
A specially-designed machine embosses the item with a small dots in the pattern of the owner's Eircode.
The idea is that markings will make it harder for criminals to sell on stolen property.
