The Castleblayney Community Engagement Unit are hosting a property marking event which will take place later today.
The event will take place at Raferagh Community Centre in Corduff between 12pm and 3pm.
Local Gardaí are appealing to members of the public who have a quad, bicycle, trailer, strimmer or any other valuable item to attend and get them marked with an Eircode.

According to Gardaí, by marking your property, you can make stolen items traceable should it be stolen and recovered.
It also makes items less attractive to criminals in the first place.
