Public Meetings which include presentations on "Online Fraud" by members of An Garda Síochána will be held in February in Clones, Monaghan Town and Carrickmacross.
Cllr Alan Johnson who is the Chairperson of Monaghan's Local Community Safety Partnership says these events will offer the public an opportunity to have their say and find out more about the new local community group.
An inaugural meeting of Local Community Safety Partnership Chairs, hosted by Minister Jim O'Callaghan, Minister of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration took place yesterday.
Cllr Johnson said it was a great opportunity to raise safety concerns of the people of Monaghan and to hear how the Safety Partnerships will be resourced and supported.
The local Fine Gael representative who is also the chair of the Monaghan Community Safety Partnership says the planned events are important for locals to highlight issues that are concerning them.
