Gardaí in Dundalk are continuing their investigation into Saturday night’s fatal crash on the Ardee Road.
Five young people who died in the collision have now been returned to their families following postmortem examinations.
A sixth man from the Volkswagen Golf has been discharged from hospital, while two people from the second vehicle remain in care with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with camera footage from the L3168 between 8.30 and 9.15pm to contact Dundalk Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
