Repair work has commenced on a collapsed bridge in West Cavan.
A bridge in Blacklion collapsed in June and massive damage resulted, making the road impassable.
It was the Mullaghboy Bridge on the L-1012-0 at Gowlan in Blacklion.
The cause of the collapse was attributed to an extreme rainfall event throughout the country around that time.
Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, John Paul Feely has told Northern Sound that repair work on the bridge has gotten underway.
