Road closed following 'serious collision' outside Bailieborough

Following a serious collision this morning outside Bailieborough, the Bailieborough to Virginia Road (R178) is now closed for the present.

Traffic is now being diverted via Ballyjamesduff.

Please note this also includes all traffic (northbound and southbound) being diverted from the N3 at New Inns following yesterday's collision.

Meanwhile, it is expected the N3 will re-open within the next hour following yesterday evening's fatal collision, where a man aged in his 20s lost his life.
