Road reopens between Killydoon and Ballytrust after crash

'Two people are in hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening'

The 'stop and go system' in place along the N55 between Killydoon and Ballytrust in Co Cavan has been cleared and the road reopened.

It follows a two vehicle collision in the area this morning.

Two people are in hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Meanwhile, Gardai were alerted to the incident before 9:30am.

Emergency services attended and those who were injured were taken to Cavan General Hospital.
