A woman living on the Monaghan border, has launched a new app designed to support and celebrate women living solo.
Roslea native Imelda McAloon, says returning from London highlighted how Irish society often revolves around families, leaving single, non-parenting women feeling isolated.
The app, Willow, provides a safe online space for connection, advice, and in-person meetups, focusing on independence rather than dating.
Some of the upcoming events include financial literacy sessions and talks on life transitions, with plans to expand into social gatherings and expert workshops.
Imelda says the goal is to build courage, community, and confidence for women navigating life solo.
