A local senator is encouraging parents to ensure they apply in time for the school transport scheme.
The portal for applications is open until April 25th, and final payments must be paid by June 6th. Any applications submitted after that will be deemed as late and pupils won't be guaranteed a place. Monaghan senator Robbie Gallagher says any applications past this date will go to the back of the queue:
