The Justice Minister will today meet with the family of a man who was killed in a hit and run by a driver on bail. 23-year-old Shane O'Farrell was cycling near Carrickmacross when he was struck and killed by a car driven by Zigimantas Gridziuska.
Shane's family are calling for a public inquiry to examine how repeat offender Mr Gradzuiska was allowed on the roads in August 2011. Lucia O’Farrell, Shane's mother, says an inquiry that had been approved never happened:
