A prayer service for those who were killed in a fatal collision near Dundalk on Saturday night was held in St. Patrick's Church in upper Magheracloone this evening.
The mass was held for local man Shay Duffy and his four friends who lost their lives in the car accident that occurred before 9pm last Saturday night on the Ardee Rd in Dundalk.
Fr Kevin spoke to the congregation that was gathered to mourn the untimely deaths of the five young people.
He expressed the community's collective sadness and prayed for the families of the deceased, asking for divine presence and strength at this very difficult time.
Fr Kevin asked for grace to understand the tragedy, emphasising the importance of faith and support during these very dark days within the wider community. Over the coming days funerals for all five will begin with the first funeral due to be held on Friday morning.
