Energia has confirmed that significant damage has been caused to a wind turbine near Newbliss.
In a statement to Northern Sound, they said that some blade damage has occurred on Turbine 8 at our Drumlins Park Wind Farm.
They said no injuries have occurred as a result of the incident and an exclusion zone has been established. The wind farm has been temporarily shut down while the incident is being assessed.

The windfarm is under a full-service operation & maintenance contract with the Original Equipment Manufacturer GE Vernova.
The statement added that they are engaging with the relevant authorities and will provide further updates as appropriate.
