A number of Easter 1916 commemorations have been planned by Sinn Féin in County Monaghan this weekend.
Local party TDs Matt Carthy and Cathy Bennett encourage a large turnout by the county for the 109th anniversary.
In the south of the county, Inniskeen will host the first of the events with an oration by Sinn Féin councillor Noel Keelan at the 1916 memorial there at 5pm.
Wreath laying ceremonies will take place at republican memorials and at the graves of those whose names appear on the County Monaghan Republican Roll of Honour during the weekend, mostly on Easter Sunday Morning.
People are asked to check locally for times of event at Annyalla, Carrickroe, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clara, Clontibret, Corcaghan, Raferagh, Trinity (Rockcorry), Tyholland and Urbleshanny.
The weekend of events will culminate in Monaghan Town on Easter Sunday starting off at Church Square at 3 o'clock.
Participants will then parade to Latlurcan Cemetery.
The main address will be delivered by newly-elected senator and former Stormont Economy Minister, Conor Murphy.
