The community of Knockatallon and further afield will come together this weekend to celebrate 25 years of the Sliabh Beagh Hotel.
The local establishment has been at the heart of community life in Knockatallon since its inception.
Fiona Connolly is part of the voluntary board directors for the Sliabh Beagh Hotel.
Fiona believes those on the ground along with support from the wider community and surrounding areas has made the local hotel the success that it is today.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the local woman said it was a "massive achievement" to still be Ireland's only community-owned and managed hotel 25 years on.
Fiona said plans for the future will include developing the area in further and building on projects such as the playground, AstroTurf facilities, lighting and footpaths for the village.
With a weekend of celebrations organised to celebrate this milestone event, Fiona described the hotel as a place that has meant the world to people over the years and she hopes that the local hotel will continue to get even bigger and better:
