The Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell has hit the market with a price tag of €35 million. The much-anticipated sale of the four star hotel is expected to appeal to both domestic and international visitors. Ballyhaise businessman Sean Gallagher is among those expected to make a bid for the Slieve Russell, having confirmed to Northern Sound back in January that he was preparing to make a bid. The Slieve Russell Hotel has been under the control of receivers for the IBRC since April 2011 and is the former business of Sean Quinn.
