Minister for Sport Charlie McConalogue will attend a community event in Castleblayney to discuss how local sports groups can avail of vital funding.
Minister McConalogue will speak about the Community Sports Facility Fund which is earmarked at all sporting organisations.
It was previously known as the Sports Capital and Equipment Fund.
Minister McConalgue will outline the framework of the scheme, what changes have been introduced since the last round and how clubs can put in successful applications.
It will take place this evening at the Iontas Threatre in Castleblayney at 5:30pm.
According to Senator Robbie Gallagher, almost €7 million in funding was allocated to around 67 local clubs and organisations following the last announcement.
He also noted that schools and community groups can participate in the funding.
It's hoped that the fund will be open for applications in the number of weeks.
