St Daig's apply for permission for new extension

Planning permission has been lodged for a major extension at a Monaghan primary school.

St Daig's National School in Inniskeen have applied to Monaghan County Council to construct a new two-storey extension containing four classrooms.

The application also includes converting three existing classrooms into special education rooms with external exit doors.

A new multi-sensory room and office with staff toilets make up the final part of the application.

A decision on the issue is due in February
