The "beautiful" new school Gaelscoil in Clones is helping give children confidence to speak Irish.
That's according to the principle of the school, Laura Nic Grianna.
Gaelscoil Eois was founded in 1995 by a group of enthusiastic people with an interest in education through the medium of Irish.
It moved into new buildings in June 2025, with 126 students currently enrolled school, with a further 40 in the schools naíonra.
Speaking to Northern Sound, the school principle said that she can't believe that the new building is ready.
She said that the youngest students in the school are just over two years old, and that the new facilities help provide a great foundation to learn the Irish.
Ms. Nic Grianna said that learning a language at a young age makes it easier.
Duirt sí: "When they're immersed in from the start, they don't know anything else. Children at that age, they're like sponges.
"Its the easiest time to learn the language, because they're immersed in it from the start, they only hear that language at school, so they just automatically use it.
"Parents now have a lot more interest, maybe when they were in school they weren't great at Irish, so this is their opportunity for their child to be educated through the medium of Irish.
"Its also a different approach as well, so children can learn the language," arsa Ms. Nic Grianna. .
