The Bailieboro branch of Saint Vincent's shop has just won the Team of the Year Award for the North East Midlands region.
The award was presented to the Cavan Vincent's staff at a conference at University College Cork, which, was attended by over 200 volunteers from the Vincent's network.
The theme of the conference was the social, environmental; and financial value - what Saint Vincent De Paul call the triple bottom line - that Vincent's shops bring to the work of SVP.
Speakers at the conference included Irish Times Environment and Science Editor, Kevin O'Sullivan and Director of Stores Support for SVP, USA, Jeff Buanguard. Bailieboro Vincent's Manager, Laura Darling, accepted the Team of the Year Trophy on behalf of all her colleagues from the Cavan shop.
